So I hear from our friends in Uganda that my son tells his friends that he is “waiting on his mother to come get him”
Also, he has been suffering with Malaria all week and is starting to heal but he is weak. : ( His legs are healing but he has very vulnerable bones and we are praying with all of our hearts and souls that he will experience no more broken bones!!!
However, praise report- today he got up and walked outside by himself to get some fresh air. For the first time since getting his casts off, and for the first time since the malaria. : )
THAT’S MY WARRIOR!!!!
We still don’t have enough money to finish our home study or our investigation, the two main steps in getting this thing REALLY going, but we are getting there. We feel like we’ve been on a train for 2 and a half years and now were sitting, stuck on the tracks halfway to our destination. BUT we started officially publicly fundraising on January 19, it is now February 4, and here is our progress in only 17 days!!!
-you caring adoption website: so far we have raised $1,150!!!! Praise The Lord!
-tshirt fundraiser on bonfire funds-so far we have raise $74 dollars and sold 7 shirts. This fundraiser is ending soon!( ending midnight 2.9.16)
–so that totals $1224 and at the current moment we need $4,000. we could send all of our money, but we have bills to pay, a mortgage, both cars need repairs… I could go on but I think you get the point. I have some more fundraising ideas I’m working on, and we feel like we are working 6 jobs! (we are working 4…)
We are organizing our house more and more each time that we are home, we are full on NESTING!! It is killing us to be apart from our loved one. : (
I said to myself last year and this year, that I couldn’t stand another Christmas without him, but the holidays came and went. Then I said if he wasn’t here in 2015 I refused to go into 2016 without him, and that if he wasn’t here by Valentines day I was going there! Now, I’m begging God to let us have our family all together for our birthdays and anniversary in April and May. : / Please Lord help us!!! But he is helping us, and he has helped us SO MUCH so far, I am eternally grateful that my child is alive, that we are alive, that we are all surviving, and that we are all abundantly blessed. God is pulling out friends, family, acquaintances, even strangers, to come together as a community to help us get our baby here. And I am SO THANKFUL. What a wonderful God He is. : ) We will get there on his timing and I am prepared to endure until then.
Our friend George in Uganda reminded me this week:
Please share this post and our fundraising links with anyone you can, and let us know if you have any ideas for how we can do this!
We are trusting in God’s provision and his plan, we are on his path, and excited about where he is taking us!
Love yall! Have a wonderful weekend! : )
